2009 - 2010 Wrestling Results

Wed. Nov. 18, 2009 - Williamson Trade School
- Thaddeus Stevens College wrestling went down to Williamson Free Trade on Wed. Nov. 18th. With five freshman in the line up, and our heavyweight powerhouse temporarily out, the team knew it would have its hands full. The team won four of the eight matches, and beat Williamson's two best wrestlers. Aaron Sandel, and Kyler Killian had big wins against Williamson's two best. In the end, the team came up just a little short.

Sat. Nov. 21, 2009 - East Stroudsburg Open
- Six Stevens Wrestlers entered one of the hardest Div. I Open tournaments in the country. It is certainly a large step above the teams usual level of competition, but it is valuable experience for the team. The Bulldogs sustained a few minor injuries throughout the day, but in the end Joe Geiser and Kyler Killian registered wins. Geiser went 1-2, and Killian went 2-2. All of the guys competed very well.

Sun. Dec. 6, 2009 - Middlesex Tournament
- The Thaddeus Stevens Bulldog Wrestlers took home the Championship Plaque from the Middlesex Invitational, on Sunday Dec. 6th. Five medal winners sealed the deal for the team title. Team co-captain Jeremy Gross earned a third place victory in the Heavyweight class. While, Lexis Ortiz at 125lbs, earned silver with co-captain Aaron Sandel at 157lbs. In his first competition of the season, Steve Turloski won all three of his matches and won gold at 133lbs. Last and certainly not least, Cameron Gill also won all of his matches, to win gold as well. Edging out West Chester for the team title, was redemption for the squad. Especially after just losing a hard fought dual meet, at West Chester, on Nov. 24th. The Dawgs also dominated Williamson Trade, who ended up 3rd in the standings, but over 25pts behind.
