TechGYRLS is a Hallmark Program of YWCA Lancaster, focused on the empowerment of girls, ages 9 to 14, in S.T.E.M. careers. High-paying jobs in the science, technology, engineering and math fields are under-represented by women, and especially by women of color. YWCA Lancaster’s TechGYRLS program is offered throughout the year in School District of Lancaster elementary schools, and during the summer as a two-week day camp.
Girls build computer programs for Lego robots, produce Public Service Announcements with video and production equipment, explore non-traditional trade careers at Thaddeus Stevens College of Science & Technology, go on fun field trips and more! Girls also participate in programs that focus on team building, self-awareness, self-esteem, workplace skills and business etiquette.
Here are the session dates from the program and registration is conducted by the YWCA
Session 1 June 19-30
Session 2 July 10-21
Session 3 July 24-Aug 4
Session 4 Aug 7- 18
