Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology prepares you for meaningful work in high-demand careers, helping you overcome barriers to accessing higher education.

Our admission process

Our students are immersed in hands-on learning taught by industry experts in engaging, professional environments. They collaborate with other students, faculty, and industry mentors in our unique block schedule, which offers valuable, real-world skills. You’ll find your skills in high demand as students receive more than a dozen job opportunities from the hundreds of employers who hire our graduates each year.

Applications for enrollment are accepted starting in September of each year, with rolling acceptances beginning in December. Students continue to receive acceptances through the Spring.

The College offers many opportunities to tour the campus through booking an individual, family, or group tour, attending our Spring or Fall Open House events, visiting with a high school program, or connecting with a faculty member.

Thaddeus Stevens College offers two-year associate degree programs in 24 majors, ranging from technical, computer-focused cohorts to construction-related fields, and business-world tracks. We also offer four 9-month certificate programs and 7 short-term skills programs ranging from 6 weeks to 6 months, focused on commercial and industrial work, computer science, and welding.

Tuition and cost information for meals and housing can be found on our tuition page. Students graduate from Thaddeus Stevens College with an average college debt of around $11,000. More than 90 percent of our students receive some form of financial aid.

Around 90 percent of students who attend Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology receive financial aid. That can come in the form of federal or state grants, scholarships, or our own Stevens Grant that can help pay for tuition, meals, and housing for those who qualify. The first step in the financial aid process is to fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, or FAFSA.

One of the best ways to get to know the College is by attending one of our Open House events. We host them in April and October every year. It’s an exciting day where you’ll be introduced to College leadership, meet our mascot, and have the opportunity to ask questions of our admissions team and financial aid office. You can visit a residence hall room, talk to faculty and employers in any of our programs, and hear from current students.

Thaddeus Stevens College accepts mainly residents of Pennsylvania. We also accept members of the military or veterans of the armed forces. As a veteran or member of the military, you have specific benefits available to you, which our Veterans Affairs school certifying official is well equipped to walk you through.

Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology offers an Early Enrollment program (sometimes referred to by high schools as Dual Enrollment), where students attend a full class schedule at our College during their senior year of high school. This is only available to students from high schools the College has a standing relationship with regarding Early Enrollment.
