The information on this page is applicable only to students beginning at Thaddeus Stevens College in the fall of 2025.
The fall semester is quickly approaching, and the team at Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology is working very hard to coordinate a helpful, fun-filled orientation for incoming students.
We realize you may have some questions about our orientation – we have answers below!
What dates should I have on my calendar?
The orientation will consist of June and August dates.
Please find additional information regarding both programs below:
June Orientation = Accepted Student Days
Students are only required to attend the date where their major is listed.

Students will have opportunities to connect with a variety of our offices, collaborate with classmates, get acquainted with campus, and register for their fall classes. Lunch will be provided.
August Orientation
Students are required to attend all days for the August orientation program.

Students will have opportunities to connect with a variety of our offices, collaborate with classmates, and get acquainted with campus. Meals are provided for those in attendance.
General Orientation Programming Information
Is orientation mandatory?
Yes. Orientation helps incoming students become acclimated to our campus, our services, and their peers. We expect students to attend their accepted student days and the new student orientation.
What is covered at orientation?
We’ll cover a variety of important topics and provide helpful information and resources valuable for the entire time a student is enrolled at Thaddeus Stevens College.
June Orientation Dates: Will begin with check-in! Students will have opportunities to connect with the following offices: financial aid, business office (student accounts, parking permits, campus ID), counseling, health services, and residence life. If you have outstanding items for any of the offices noted above, please bring those with you.
August Orientation Dates: Incoming students will have the opportunity to connect with staff in a variety of offices and ensure everything is in place for them to begin their first semester at Thaddeus Stevens College successfully.
Are parents or caregivers able to attend orientation?
We plan to offer optional informational sessions for parents/caregivers at our June orientation programming.
Are housing and meals provided throughout orientation?
Housing
June Orientation: Due to this program only consisting of a 1-day requirement, we are not offering students the option to stay on campus.
August Orientation Dates: Students will receive their semester housing assignment from the Residence Life team prior to the event. Move-in dates and times are forthcoming from our Residence Life team.
Meals
June Orientation: Lunch will be provided for all students in attendance!
August Orientation Dates: Meals will be provided for those in attendance. More information to come on the meal specifics for our August dates.
Is the House of Champ College Store open during orientation?
Yes, the House of Champ College Store—located in the Alumni House—is open during any orientation programming.
