College Wrestlers to Compete at Nationals
NJCAA National Tournament in Iowa Feb. 23-24
Lancaster, PA—Three Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology wrestlers are heading to the national tournament for the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA). The wrestlers qualified by placing first or second in the NJCAA Eastern District II tournament, held Feb. 10 at Thaddeus Stevens.
Sophomore Bailey Shutt (Palmyra, PA/Lower Dauphin High School) took first at 174 and was named the tournament’s “Outstanding Wrestler” by a vote of the coaches. Sophomore
The NJCAA National Tournament will be held on February 23-24 in Council Bluffs, Iowa.
Other schools that participated in the district championships were Bergen Community College, Camden County College, Lackawanna College, Middlesex Community, Rowan College, Spartanburg Methodist College and Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology.
As a team, Thaddeus Stevens finished fourth.
