Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology Men's Basketball Coach, Players Recognized

    Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology Bulldogs basketball coach and two players were recognized by the Eastern Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (EPAC) for their performance in the 2018 – 2019 season.

    Stevens College Men’s Basketball Coach, Kenneth Stone, was named EPAC Coach of the Year. Player Marquel Wansley and Mason Bossert were named to the 2018 – 2019 Men’s Basketball Division 3 All Conference 1st Team.

    Stone joined Thaddeus Stevens College as the head coach of its basketball program in April, 2018. Prior to taking the lead job at Stevens College, he served as associate head coach and offensive coordinator at Central Penn College in Summerdale, PA. Previously, he spent four years on the coaching staff at Elizabethtown College. Stone is a graduate of Penn State Harrisburg, where he played varsity basket for four years and was named team captain for the 2013 – 2014 season.

    Bossert became the 4th Thaddeus Stevens College player to score 1,000 career points this season. A sophomore from Myerstown, PA, he is a graduate of ELCO High School. 

    Wansley, a sophomore from Columbia, PA, became the 5th Thaddeus Stevens College player to surpass 1,000 career points, was named Eastern Pennsylvania Athletic Conference (NJCAA) Player of the Week earlier this month.

    The Bulldogs advanced to the NJCAA Basketball Regional Tournament this season, falling 77-81 to Community College of Philadelphia in the first round. Stevens College ended the year with a 17-10 record and a second place finish in the Eastern Pennsylvania Athletic Conference.
