TSCT Partners With Landmark Homes to Coordinate Construction Trades Day
Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology (TSCT) recently helped coordinate “Construction Trades Day” in collaboration with Landmark Homes.
More than 250 high school students from across Central Pennsylvania participated in this hands-on learning opportunity, where they experienced the trades in action at the brand new Cornwall Junction Community, which is a new home construction site located in Lebanon.
Students heard from employees actively engaged in building the homes on site, as well as industry partners. They also took tours of homes in different stages of being built, explored the surrounding land being developed, and learned about all that is a part of new home construction.
The students asked lots of great questions throughout this special event, ranging in themes from education, to favorite parts of the job, to career opportunities, to growth within the field, and much more.
TSCT is especially grateful to Landmark Homes for generously donating scholarships to two future Bulldogs at this event!
