Gov. Wolf appoints Tom Baldrige to six-year term
Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology is adding another trustee to its board.
The state Senate this week confirmed Gov. Wolf’s appointment of Tom Baldrige, president and CEO of the Lancaster Chamber of Commerce & Industry, to the College’s board of trustees. He becomes the ninth trustee and joins fellow newcomers Chip Cargas, Michael Maguire and Jeffrey Sterner, who were confirmed in October.
Baldrige has led the Lancaster Chamber since 2000. During his tenue, the organization has twice been named national Chamber of the Year by the American Chamber of Commerce Executives. Formerly president of the Lancaster Alliance and assistant director of communications for the PA Senate, Baldrige also serves on the boards of Leadership Lancaster, Economic Development Company of Lancaster County, Discover Lancaster, the Workforce Development Board, the Lancaster County Transportation Authority and the City Reinvestment and Improvement Zone (CRIZ) Authority. He received an honorary doctorate from Thaddeus Stevens in 2016.
“Tom Baldrige has a distinguished career of service to our community and, as a business leader, he understands the critical workforce needs of our region and the Commonwealth,” said Thaddeus Stevens president William Griscom. “I am confident he will continue to be an advocate for Thaddeus Stevens while sharing his expertise in determining our path to the future and ensuring our performance matches our purpose.”
Baldrige’s term is for six years.
