On Friday, October 4, 2024, Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology inducted five athletes into its Athletic Hall of Fame during a ceremony in Jones Dining Hall. President Pedro Rivera welcomed the inductees, recognizing their dedication and impact both on and off the field.
This year’s inductees included:
- Michael Crawford, Jr., a former football defensive star who continued his football career post-college
- Juan Jones, a running back who helped the Bulldogs win a Seaboard Conference championship
- Jeff Miller, a cross-country and track & field athlete who set records and later became a successful coach
- Larrian Payne, a high jump champion and entrepreneur
- Ray Reyes, a two-time cross-country champion who contributed greatly to the Bulldogs’ success.
Each inductee exemplifies commitment, leadership, and excellence, making a lasting impact on the athletic program and their communities. Their achievements, both as athletes and professionals, showcase the powerful influence of sports on their personal and professional lives.
In addition to honoring these athletes, President Rivera spoke about the values of teamwork, sacrifice, and perseverance that athletics instill, shaping individuals beyond their time in sports.
