Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology was recently named the best community college in Pennsylvania by SmartAsset in its 2024 study.  

The rankings, which evaluated 820 community colleges nationwide, were based on three key factors: student-to-faculty ratio, graduation and transfer rates, and the cost of attendance. Thaddeus Stevens College excelled in all areas, offering a strong student-to-faculty ratio that supports personalized education, steady graduation and transfer rates, and affordable tuition. These attributes place our College at the forefront of community colleges in the state, helping students achieve their academic and career goals. 

In particular, our hands-on, practical skilled work in the classroom and lab setting with small class sizes prepares our graduates for thriving careers or continuing education. We’re proud of our affordability, and through the support of both state leadership and our many donors and partners, we are able to continue offering our education at an affordable cost.
