New Articulation Agreement Opens Doors to Bachelor’s Degrees for Stevens Students

Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology and Pennsylvania College of Technology have signed a new articulation agreement, creating a seamless pathway for graduates of Thaddeus Stevens College to earn bachelor’s degrees in high-demand fields.

The agreement allows graduates from two TSCT associate degree programs—Electrical Technology and Electro-Mechanical Technology—to transfer credits directly into Penn College’s Building Automation Engineering Technology bachelor’s degree program.

“Our mission is to open doors to higher education for students who might not otherwise have that available to them,” said President Pedro A. Rivera II, Ed.D. “One of the ways we fulfill that mission is by creating multiple pathways to completion, such as partnering with other higher education institutions throughout Pennsylvania. This provides a direct route to continued education and a career in a high-demand field with family-thriving wages.”

Students who maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA at Thaddeus Stevens College will be eligible to complete their bachelor’s degrees with just two additional years of full-time study at Penn College. These students will also be considered for Penn College scholarship opportunities.

Penn College President Michael J. Reed highlighted the mutual support of the partnership: “This arrangement will produce tangible benefits for both of our institutions,” while preparing graduates for “an essential career field with excellent long-term employment prospects.”

The articulation agreement represents another way Thaddeus Stevens College fulfills its role as an architect of opportunity in Pennsylvania. By expanding educational pathways, the College continues to transform futures and communities while ensuring graduates remain in high demand throughout their careers.

Penn College, located in Williamsport, PA, offers 100 STEM-related majors. Like Thaddeus Stevens College, Penn College emphasizes hands-on learning, with more than a 150 industry-standard labs and strong connections to employer partners.
