Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology recently received a $10,000 grant from the Collision Repair Education Foundation

The national nonprofit organization supports collision repair educational programs, schools, and students to help empower qualified employees and connect them with career opportunities.

The funds will go toward upgrading tools and providing additional tools including spray guns, respirators, and welding equipment. This will help to strengthen the College's Collision program, as students will have more flexibility to complete their assignments in the lab without having to share tools or pass around equipment.

"We're grateful to the Foundation for creating more opportunities for our students to learn and receive hands-on training," said Jason Weiler, instructor in the program. "Our mission as a College is to create access to education that some students might not otherwise have, and this funding for needed tools is one way we can help fulfill that mission."
