The College recently received a grant that has enabled us to begin vital suicide awareness and prevention training on our campus. The important project that supports our commitment to student well-being. Two on-campus workshops being hosted this Spring aim to elevate awareness about suicide prevention by covering topics that resonate with the interests and needs of our students. In addition, these workshops will equip our campus community with valuable resources geared toward helping those dealing with depression, suicidal ideation, and substance abuse issues.

This effort is supported by Mental Health America of Lancaster and through the generous funding provided by the PA Higher Education Suicide Prevention Coalition and matched by the Ryan Brubaker Foundation. The budget also includes a $50 door prize at each workshop of a mental health self-care package.

This endeavor shows a shared commitment to fostering a safe and supportive campus atmosphere, where mental health is prioritized, and resources are readily available to those in need. As we finalize the dates for these workshops, our focus remains on making a meaningful difference in the lives of our students, empowering them with the knowledge and support to navigate life's challenges.
