LancasterOnline - Ray Reyes (McCaskey) won the men’s individual cross country championship and the Thaddeus Stevens men’s team won the team title at the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference Championship held at Lancaster County Park.

Reyes finished with a time of 29:22, while teammate Luke Wampler (Cedar Crest) finished in third place with a time of 30:10. Northampton Community College was second and Valley Forge Military Academy was third in the men’s event.

“It was an outstanding race for the guys,” said Stevens coach Mathew Robinson. “Ray had to defend last year’s title and with the support of the team he not only did that, but we also brought home the team title.”

Last year the Bulldogs finished in third place.

On the women’s side, Luzerne’s Kayla Schlavch was first in 23:00.

The Bulldogs will move onto the NJCAA Region 19 race held on Oct. 28 at Delaware Technical Community College.
