News Coverage of Enrollment Growth at Thaddeus Stevens College
Throughout the months of August and September, several regional media included Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology in their coverage of local news. We’re honored to be included in the segments of these news stations and publications, as they continue to spotlight our mission: To provide opportunity for education to those who might not otherwise have such an option. Much of the coverage included a focus on increased enrollment with particular attention to the diversity of our student body as well as programs that have doubled in size this school year, which include Computer & Network Systems Administration, Electrical Construction & Maintenance, Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technology, and Residential Remodeling Technology The highlights included:

Meredith Jorgensen, local reporter for WGAL, the Central PA NBC affiliate, spent time on campus on the first day of classes. She spoke with President Pedro Rivera along with several first-year students. CBS 21: August 22
Reporter Michael Gorsegner visited campus on August 22, interviewing President Rivera as well as Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technology second-year student Luke Knoll-Munoz. ABC 27: August 23
Reporter Sanika Bhargaw came to campus on August 23, recording footage throughout Main Campus as well as in the College’s Computer Integrated Manufacturing Lab at Greiner Advanced Manufacturing Center and in the student learning commons at Griscom Education Center. She spoke with President Rivera, Architecture faculty member Tedd Williams, and students Kyle and Cole Younger, both second-year Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technology program majors. She also spent time in the Computer & Network Systems Administration lab with first-year students and observed several robotics operations in the Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technology lab.
