Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society Induction Ceremony

    Lancaster, PA - On Thursday, April 6, 2017, Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology's Phi Theta Kappa Beta Nu Delta Chapter inducted 73 new members. Family, friends, faculty and staff all watched with pride as these young men and women have fulfilled all requirements for membership and have been selected because they have chosen Scholarship, Leadership, Service and Fellowship as their hallmarks.

    A nice dinner was provided to all in attendance, followed by speeches from President Griscom, Michael DeGroft, Dean of Enrollment Services and Phi Theta Kappa Advisor, Michael Rich, Chapter President, Angela Frantz, Chapter Vice President, Brendon Pearce Chapter Treasurer, Cynthia Phae, Chapter Officer, Justin Oberholtzer, Chapter Secretary and Dr. Vincent Miles, Professor at Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology and Guest Speaker. 

    Establish by Missouri two-year college presidents in 1918, Phi Theta Kappa international Honor Society serves to recognize and encourage the academic achievement of two-year college students and provide opportunities for individual growth and development through honors, leadership, and service programming. Today, Phi Theta Kappa is the largest honor society in American higher education with more than 1.3 million members and 1,100 chapters located in 50 United States, U.s Territories, Canada, Germany, and Japan. In 1929, the American Association of Community Colleges recognized Phi Theta Kappa as the official honor society for two year colleges.
