Lancaster, PA—Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology freshman Ray Reyes finished in the top 20 Saturday at the NJCAA Division III Cross Country Championships in Canandaigua, N.Y.

Reyes posted a time of 30:18.5 at the 8K finals held on the Bruce Bridgeman Cross Country Course at Finger Lakes Community College in Canandaigua, N.Y., good for 19th place out of 175 runners. Reyes qualified for the national championships by posting a time of 29:14.67 at the Region XIX Championships Oct. 30 in Newark, N.J.

“One thing I enjoy about cross country is the team bonding experience, which makes it feel like a second family,” Reyes said. “I enjoy the traveling, and the scenery while running.”

Reyes is an architecture technology major at Thaddeus Stevens. He is a 2016 graduate of J.P. McCaskey High School.

“My dream career is to become an architect and one days design and build my own house to my specifications,” he said. “What I like about Thaddeus Stevens is the small class sizes and the loving staff.”
